Welcome to Forage and Forge!

I’m Kirstee, married to the Mister and mama to two very different little people that I seriously adore! We are a regular ol’ family doing our best to live sustainably on a small patch of suburbia. For us this means suburban homesteading, holistic home educating and a good deal of bush wandering.

Please look around and feel free to leave us a message. We’d love to hear your questions and see what you get up to in your own sustainable living adventures.

Kirstee xx

    • Thank you so much! I love hearing that people find something they need in my blog, and I especially love hearing more families are following the homeschool path. It is such a growing movement here in Australia. Please keep in touch and let me know how you go with your own homeschool journey xx

P.S. check out some other fabulous Aussie homeschool blogs like ‘An Everyday Story’, ‘A Thoughtful Life’, ‘Racheous’ and ‘Owletmama’. They are all on Insta as well and are hugely inspiring to me šŸ˜Š

  2. Hi. So glad I found your blog. Anna from made right (here) recommended it and I’m delighted she did. We are carving out a little smallholding here in Ireland and trying to live as sustainably as we can. My toddler hasn’t hit school age yet, but there is talk if homeschooling too. Looking forward to following your blog from the other side of the world.
